Change to QP Tracking!!!

At the BUDA Banquet Jan 7th 2012 the ‘definition’ of what is a Quality Point (QP) was changed!

The new definition for QPs is:

76-113 receives 1 QP

114 – 169 receives 2 QPs

170 – 180 receives 3 QPs

(still get 1 QP for all outs and for Cricket Wins)

So – please circle all scores of 76 and above now

AND in all ’01 games score down to 76 rather than 80.

Use of Subs in BUDA Matches:

  1. Per rules a sub may be used only to make a full team of 4 members.

  2. No more than 1 sub per match!

  3. A sub may be used no more than 3 times by the same team per season.

  4. Fee for sub is $3 each time they play – YES they pay quarters

  5. Subs are welcome to attend season ending banquet.

  6. IF a 4th team member arrives after a sub has played in a match and the member wishes to play – they can but the sub can then play no longer. If this happens –NO a different team member cannot then sit out and let the sub continue.

  7. A sub must be approved by the BUDA board at a minimum no less than 2 hours prior to the match involved (5PM on the day of the match) – no matter what division is involved!

  8. Subs can NOT be used in any position night matches or in the final match of a season.

  9. Approval of a sub is NOT automatic- the past average / QPA (if available) or the averages of all men or women (as appropriate) will be used to ‘rate’ the sub and if the subs rating would be inappropriate for the division of the team involved the sub will not be approved. Note: for the Fall 2011 BUDA season the average for men was 45.1 – QPA was .259, for women average was 39.2 / QPA was .159.

Note: Players on a team in a division with BYEs (such as C Division this season) are eligible to sub for another team (NOT in their division) with board approval.
